Sony Announces '21 Jump Street' Sequel Coming Sometime in 2014
www.firstshowing.netAfter the action comedy made me do a complete turnaround on Channing Tatum as an actor, 21 Jump Street became my?favorite comedy of 2012 and also made my Top 20 Films of 2012 in general. The adaptation of the TV series took a completely new approach to the material by teaming Tatum with Jonah Hill for a hilarious buddy cop comedy. Before the film even came out, Hill had already said that a sequel was being written, seemingly keenly aware that this film was going to become quite the hit, and the studio said they were hoping to shoot this fall. It sounds like that's still the case with a release window in mind. At CinemaCon, Sony confirmed that the sequel is in active development, and they're hoping to release it sometime in 2014.
